Keya4Love

Keya4Love is a on-going fiction work of fiction written and illustrated by Dorothea Lucin, the Satin Doll. This work is heavily inspired on Empty Spaces, Ways of Being, and Traumaqueer cultural phenomena, however, it tries to keep a lighter tone, and be accessible to people outside of said cultures, taking inspiration from works of fiction that lean closer to pop culture, and current fantasy storywriting aswell.

Synopsis

In a world where, just like ours, dolls, fallen angels, false gods and proxies for humans roam freely, one's capacity to dissociate can manifest into weird abilities. Those abilities are known as Vessels, and the ones able to manifest them, are called Retainers.

Vessels can manifest alone in situations of need. Still, typically, a society known as Gloria takes in those with a high capacity for dissociation, usually from heavily traumatic backgrounds, and helps them awaken their abilities in a more controlled, less harmful environment after evaluating one's dissociative skills. These tests can come in many forms, including direct combat against a skilled Retainer.

Keya, an orphanage escapee, plans on becoming exactly that, hoping to obtain a Vessel powerful enough to stop the ailing soul of her roommate and former orphanage companion Poe, a magical girl who was cursed by a false god, and placed under a halo against her consent.
